Where You Send Me I Will Go

John 14:18 is close to our hearts because it is the very first verse we looked up six years ago while praying about the possibility of adopting. God's desires are orchestrated so beautifully, aren't they!? His timing is always the most perfect timing and His will for your life is more wonderful than you could ever imagine! Our lives are about to change forever and although it's quite possibly the scariest chapter God's written in our lives thus far, we couldn't be more excited to "read" on!

It's hard to believe we will be holding our baby girl IN Uganda in TWO days! Notice the adoption-themed books I picked up...We had ten + hours of training during our home study but one can never be too prepared for adopting a child. I am looking forward to diving in to these books and learning even more - over the duration of our 16 hour flight to Dubai!

Lord, we ask you to prepare our hearts as we say good-bye to our three precious children here in the states and anticipate meeting our daughter clear across the world in Africa.
We pray for safety over our children while we are away and for peace in their little hearts as they will be missing mommy and daddy.
We ask for complete healing over our children as they all came down with pneumonia and ear infections this past week and we pray the antibiotics given to them will ease their discomfort and get them back to feeling 100%.
Father, we trust everything is in Your control and that things will be smooth sailing from the minute we step on to the airplane.
We pray Maisy will come to us with open arms as we have dreamed each night and that the separation from her caretakers will be more sweet than bitter.
Lord we are ready... let's do this!

Isaiah 6:8
... And I said, "Here I am. Send me!"
